On Saturday October 16th at approximately 7:30pm, the Richland Center Fire Department was paged for an electrical fire in a vehicle. The incident was on U.S. Hwy. 14 near Koch Drive, in front of Culver’s Restaurant. A vehicle had struck a deer at that location and the operator was reporting the fire. As firefighters were leaving the station with Engine 705, law enforcement notified Richland Dispatch there was no fire and the fire dept could cancel.
