A gentleman dragging a log with a tractor in Dayton Township was thrown from the machine when the log shifted and caused the tractor to roll over. The accident happened on private property in the woods at a residence of of County Z. Firefighters were called to the scene to help locate the person who had called for help on his cell phone. 22 firefighters responded with Rescue 706, Squad 715, Utility 718, and ATV 719. Richland County EMS, Western Richland County First Responders, and the Richland County Sheriffs Department all were on scene. The party involved in the accident was located and transported from the woods in the ATV, than taken to the Richland Hospital by EMS. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
