Motorists traveling on Highway 14 just East of the City of Richland Center called 911 when they noticed what appeared to be smoke coming from a pickup truck that had pulled off the highway. The call came into the Fire Department on November 5, 2011 at approximately 9:10 am. A police officer from the Richland Center Police Department arrived on the scene prior to Engine 705, and Tanker 704 and advised that the vehicle had overheated and there was no fire. Fire units were cancelled and returned to the station with out incident. no Injuries were reported.
