House Fire – Ward Street

Flames were visible through the roof when neighbors called in a house fire at aproximately 12:45 a.m. June 10, 2011, on Ward Street in the City of Richland Center. The house was under going remodeling at the time of the fire and was unoccupied, thus the fire went undetected for some time. 26 Firefighters responded with Engines 705 and 710, and Squad 708. Engine 705 attached to a hydrant across the street from the house, and multiple attack lines were used to extinguish the fire. The structure suffered heavy damage. No injuries were reported and fire units were on scene for two hours. Firefighters were assisted by the City of Richland Center Police Department, the Fire Department Explorers, and the City Electric Utility.
