On December 14th, 2013, at approximately 5:30 P.M., the Richland Center Fire Department was paged for a chimney fire at a residence in the town of Rockbridge. Firefighters responded with Engine 705, Tanker 704, Squad 708, Tanker 707, Tanker 714 and Utility 718. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered fire in the attic and wall spaces near the chimney. Firefighters extinguished the fire and performed overhaul operations in search for further extension of the fire. Firefighters were on scene for about 3 hours. The Richland Center Fire Explorers, Yuba Fire Department and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
