On May 1st, 2013, at approximately 11:30 A.M., the Richland Center Fire Department was paged for a grass fire on County Highway ZZ in Dayton Township. Firefighters responded with Brush Truck 712, Brush Truck 711, Engine 705, Tanker 704, Squad 708 and Utility 718 with ATV 719. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters extinguished the fire. Firefighters were on scene for about 1 hour. The Richland Center Fire Explorers, the Department of Natural Resources and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
