On 11-06-2010, the Richland Center Fire Department responded to a reported grass fire threatening a pine tree stand in Ithaca Township. The fire was on Bluebird Lane off Highway 58. Firefighters responded with Brush 711, Brush 712, Engine 705, Tanker 704 and Squad 708. The DNR also responded with a 4×4 Brush Unit. When firefighters arrived, it was determined Engine 705 could return to station. No injuries reported. The DNR Fire Control Ranger handled the investigation.
