On July 27th at approximately 10:00 pm, the Richland Center Fire Department was paged for a fire alarm going off at Our House Assisted Living on Orange Street in the City of Richland Center. Engine 705, Squad 708, and Aerial 709 responded. Upon arrival, there was discovered to be smoke filling the hallways. Further investigation revealed that an air handler unit on the roof had overheated. The problem was addressed and the building ventilated. RCFD units were on scene for about 45 minutes. They were assisted at the scene by the Richland County EMS, Richland Center Police Department, and the Richland Center Fire Explorers.
