On May 4th at approximately 1:30 pm, the Richland Center Fire Department was paged for a fire alarm at the Richland Center High School. Staff was unsure of any problems, however no smoke or flames were showing. Upon arrival, police and firefighters deemed it safe for students and staff to return to the building. Units were on the scene about 20 minutes.
At approximately 2:55pm, fire units were again dispatched to Richland Center High School for an alarm. Further investigation discovered a faulty detector was to blame for the alarm. No injuries reported.
