Car Fire – City of Richland Center

On Sunday morning April 15, 2018 at approximately 8:45 RCFD firefighters were summoned to the 800 block of S. James Street in the City for the report of a car fire. Firefighters arrived on scene and found that a car that was being jump-started had the hood support fail and the hood fell onto the jumper cables causing a short. There was some sparking and smoke but no actual fire. The hood was lifted off the cables and the owner was able to start the car and drive away without incident. No injuries were reported.
