A single car accident occurred in Section 4 of Orion Township. The call for the Richland Center Fire Department Duty Crew came in at 12:25 pm on October 30, 2011. A vehicle traveling West on Ash Creek Road came across some mud on the highway. There was also a light mist falling. The operator of the vehicle lost control and the driver of the vehicle lost control leaving the highway and rollover in a field. Firefighters responded with Rescue 706 and Engine 705. Twenty-one firefighters answered the page with not all responding to the scene. Richland County EMS transported the driver to the Richland Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Firefighters cleared the scene of debris and assisted with traffic control. The Richland County Sheriffs Department investigated the accident. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
