Smoke Odor Investigation – Downtown Richland Center

Firefighters were called to the alley behind the Family Thrift Shop in Downtown Richland Center for the report of smoke and a burning odor. The time of the call was approximately 5:25 p.m. on November 12 2011. Firefighters responded with Engine 705 and found that the cause of the call was a grill being used to cook food in the alley by residents of one of the downtown apartments. No injuries were reported and firefighters returned to the station in short order. 21 Firefighters answered the call.
