Squad 715 is a 1997 International 4700LP chassis with a Road Rescue Ambulance body. This unit was purchased used in July of 2011 from the Mount Horeb Wisconsin Fire Department, where it was used as an ambulance. The paint color of black is standard in the Mount Horeb fleet and we liked the way it looked so the only changes made were to put Richland Center Fire Department graphics on it. Air pack seating was added on the interior of the unit and investments made by the department using proceeds of our annual firefighters dance held each October during Fire Prevention Week will be used to purchase a generator and floodlighting. Unit 715 is used to transport personnel and equipment to and from fire calls and trainings, as well as responding to requests for manpower to mutual aid departments, and responding to automobile accidents for traffic control. When a unit is left for standby at a scene after a fire is suppressed 715 also fills this role. This allows the front line Squad 708 to return to the station to have its equipment cleaned and placed back into service for the next call. This unit has total seating for seven firefighters, four of them can put on air packs. There is also a small inventory of hand tools and equipment. This unit is a valuable support unit in our fleet.
