A farmer injecting anhydrous ammonia into cropland was the cause of odor complaints on Meadowbrook Lane in Section 23 of Richland Township just East of the City of Richland Center. Responding firefighters found that the farmer was using the product as fertilizer for his crops and there was no problem. The call came in at 8:30 p.m. and 19 firefighters responded to the call with Engine 705 and Squad 708 and returned to the station in short order.
