Natural Gas Leak – Allison Park

Firefighters were paged at aproximately 1:20 a.m on August 18, 2011 to a home on West Preston Drive for the report of an odor of natural gas. A neighbor walking their dog smelled the gas and put in the call for help. Firefighters responded with Engine 705 and Rescue 706. It was found that gas was leaking from the area of the meter. The gas was turned off to the home and WE Energies was contacted to make repairs. Firefighters also ventilated the house and tested for gas with meters. No injuries were reported and the department was on the scene for less than an hour. The City of Richland Center Police Department was also on the scene.
